I recently attended the annual Hot Pink event that supports the BCRF at the Armory in New York City. The gala was hosted by Elizabeth Hurley, Victoria Beckham and chaired by Leonard Lauder with a performance by John Mellencamp. I was able to connect wit CEO Myra Biblowit and we discussed her position, the event, Evelyn Lauder and how Forbes readers can support research leading towards a cure for breast cancer. Here is our interview:
Forbes: Please tell us about your role with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation?
Myra Biblowit: I officially joined the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) in 2001 as president and CEO, cumulative fundraising for research has grown from $40 million to nearly $700 million as of this year.
My work at BCRF has been my life’s passion and is the greatest thing I’ve ever done. There nothing more gratifying than witnessing the advancements in research since BCRF was founded in 1993.
