A Washington police charity that funneled most of its donations to a Utah marketing firm has agreed to either change its fundraising or warn donors their money is going to telemarketers. All told, the Utah marketing firm Corporations for Character made $1.5 million collecting donations for the Washington Fraternal Order of Police. The police organization — which runs a memorial fund for Washington officers killed in the line of duty — received just $450,000.
