A high-ranking employee of mental health care provider Sheppard Pratt Health System and her husband have been charged with bilking the nonprofit out of $2.5 million.
In an indictment unsealed Thursday, federal prosecutors in Maryland said that Lyneth Nyabiosi and Willie Evans III overcharged the Maryland-based health-care company for services provided by a company that they did not reveal that they owned.
Nyabiosi wrote the checks to her own company as the director of the Health Information Management Department at Sheppard Pratt, prosecutors alleged.
