Charity Founder Says Convicted Felon Used Secretary of State Documents to Hijack Charity

A charity meant to help at-risk children was allegedly hijacked by a convicted criminal. Terry Dow-Harris says a former volunteer took over Kingdom Purpose, Teach One Reach One behind her back and now she’s worried that woman could be collecting money for personal gain.

Sunbiz.org is a state-run registry of businesses and charities through the Florida Secretary of State Office. It lists things like the name of the organization, where it's located and who serves on its board. But all it took was a simple form for a convicted identity thief to take over a charity.
