Livestrong Receives $1M Donation, Largest Since Armstrong Left

A Michigan couple on Wednesday announced a $1 million donation to Livestrong, the Austin-based cancer nonprofit. It is the biggest single donation the group has received since 2010.

Jeri and Jeff Mulder, longtime Livestrong supporters, will pay out a $1 million gift to the group over the course of five years from their nonprofit the Shine Foundation.

“More and more cancer patients are turning to Livestrong for its free services and we want to help Livestrong support anyone in need,” Jeff Mulder said in a news release. “This great nonprofit has a bright future, but it depends on donations in order to provide free help for cancer patients and survivors. We hope our gift inspires others to give today and support Livestrong.”
