To bolster long-term economic viability of one nonprofit while expanding intergenerational services for the other, two Montgomery County, Md. organizations that serve seniors are merging.
Wheaton-based Interages will become part of the Rockville-based Jewish Council for the Aging of Greater Washington July 1. Leaders of both organizations say the merger will mean an increased focus on intergenerational relations in JCA's already existing programs, which include everything from job-search support to senior transportation.
