Philadelphia City Councilman David Oh's efforts to raise money for his re-election campaign have turned into something of a hot mess.
A disagreement over who may have botched the wording of those fundraising efforts had Oh and his own campaign consultant each reaching out Thursday to complain to the Philadelphia Board of Ethics.
Oh, a Republican seeking a second term as an at-large councilman, was most concerned about how a GoFundMe.com appeal to campaign donors was worded.
That website, which was deactivated Thursday, said donors who pledged $250 or more would get "A chance to meet Councilman David Oh and his staff as they prepare for an exciting day in the Council's chambers."
