They are:
- Get the tools (decent Web site, Donate Now button, e-mail signup, e-mail campaign tool)
- Put your Donate Now button and Web site address everywhere.
- Create and fuel your e-mail engine.
- Make sure people give by focusing on the audience.
- Have an answer for prospective donors who ask, "Why me?"
- Have an answer for prospective donors who ask, "What for?"
- Have an answer for prospective donors who ask, "Why now?"
- Have an answer for prospective donors who ask, "Who says?"
- Thank early and often.
- Do the advanced stuff (like social media)
What to avoid?
