Has your organization stepped up and out to exceed expectations this year thanks to a creative campaign or initiative? The 2010 Campbell & Co. Awards for Excellence in Fundraising, presented by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, is looking for organizations that:
*Have overcome significant challenges to meet or exceed goals;
*Have developed innovative new programs (or tweaked existing ones) to raise needed funds; and/or
*Have turned the tables on the economy by expanding donor base or reaching out to new groups of donors in a significant way.
Other criteria include streamlining administrative structure and reducing fundraising costs. Any type of fundraising campaign — annual giving, capital, planned giving, major gift, online, special events, etc. — is eligible for the award.
The deadline to submit a nomination is Sept. 15. One award of $1,500 will be given to a small organization (five or fewer employees in the fundraising department) and a large organization (more than five employees in the fundraising department). Winning organizations will be honored at the AFP International Conference on Fundraising in Baltimore, April 11-14th, 2010. Any nonprofit organization that employs an AFP member is eligible to receive the award.
