Alex Goldsmith
Board of Directors
The HOPE Program
As head of strategy for Macquarie Investment Management, a global fund management company, Alex Goldsmith knows a thing or two about business. So it’s no surprise that, as a board member for The HOPE Program, he provided essential leadership and business expertise as the nonprofit explored an acquisition in 2015.
What might be surprising, though, is just how involved Goldsmith has been in The HOPE Program’s mission since joining its board of directors in March of last year.
Goldsmith was instrumental in forging a partnership between the nonprofit and Macquarie Investment Management, allowing the former to share its work with the latter’s large global community. The company provided $20,000 in general operating support and $90,000 in initiative support for The HOPE Program. It also assisted in developing an events committee for the nonprofit’s A Taste of HOPE event and entered a team for its charity half-marathon.
None of that support would have been possible without Goldsmith.
“Our partnership with Macquarie Investment Management is integral to our strong outcomes,” said Irene Branche, chief development officer for The HOPE Program. “Alex has significantly strengthened the impact of this partnership on our work since joining the board.”
