“Rethinking Philanthropic Effectiveness: Lessons from an International Network of Foundation Experts,” edited by Dirk Eilinghoff, is a compilation of articles written by representatives of foundation and support organizations, consultants and researchers from nearly 20 countries.
The group convened as part of the International Network on Strategic Philanthropy, a think tank set up in 2001 by various European and U.S. foundations that provides a forum for dialogue on the role of philanthropy and its effect on society.
Eleven in total, the articles look at the key developments and organizational challenges in philanthropy and touch on everything from the role of philanthropy in globalization, to program design, to stakeholder interactions in philanthropy.
