Atlas of Giving Reports 2012 Total Giving to Nonprofits Grew 6.7 Percent

Press release (Jan. 22, 2013) — Atlas of Giving announced total giving to nonprofits rose 6.7 precent in 2012, an increase of $23.32 billion over 2011. According to a report released by The Atlas of Giving, giving to environmental causes grew by 11 percent in 2012, more than any other portion of the U.S. charitable economy.
