BoardSource Rolls Out Revamped Membership Program
WASHINGTON, April 15, 2009 — Now more than ever, nonprofit board members and CEOs need strong guidance in leading their organizations through crisis. BoardSource, the nation's leading resource on nonprofit governance, is addressing that need with a timely and responsive new membership program.
"More than 12,000 non-profit leaders are already demonstrating their commitment to good governance through BoardSource membership," said Linda Crompton, BoardSource President and CEO. "With our new membership offering, we are taking another critical step toward helping nonprofit leaders to promote excellence in their organizations."
BoardSource membership provides access to the resources nonprofit organizations need to build high-performing boards, including practical and useful publications, sector-leading knowledge and analysis, and hands-on consulting and training. The new program includes member-friendly categories for organizations and students. These options offer learning and networking opportunities to board members and governance practitioners in all professional circumstances and at all stages of their careers -- starting at the academic level.
The organizational membership is designed for boards, committees, and senior management teams, and offers substantive discounts for organizations of six or more individuals. The student membership is ideal for individuals pursuing a degree in a field related to governance or nonprofit management, and is priced for the student pocketbook at $49.
As part of the April 15 rollout, BoardSource is introducing three new member benefits:
