Shake It Up, Baby!
The DMA Nonprofit Federation 2010 New York Nonprofit Conference is in full swing as I write this. Enterprising social entrepreneur and innovations expert Dan Pallotta kicked things off this morning with a high-powered opening keynote, and now sessions are in full swing.
The Shake It Up, Baby theme for this year's conference showcases the organizers' hopes that attendees will walk — or dance? — away from the conference with a fresh perspective, some fresh ideas and, perhaps most importantly, with a refreshed determination to implement those ideas.
Personally, I like that the conference is being held this year at a new location, the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers. Like the conference guide says, "Sometimes being able to approach challenges effectively requires new thinking. And a change of scenery can be the first step to getting the creative juices flowing."
Hear, hear!
Check out the Advisor over the next few weeks for important information from the presentations. But start now by checking out the results of a new study by Russ Reid that talks about donor behavior and motivation in these tough fundraising times. You can find it in t he features section of this week's Advisor.
Peace & blessings!
