The DMA Nonprofit Federation is now seeking nomination submissions for the 2011 Max Hart Nonprofit Achievement Award.
The award is named for Max Hart, the long-time Director of Fundraising at Disabled American Veterans (DAV). A United States Army veteran and transplant from the for-profit sector, Max went on to exemplify the best of nonprofit professionals as a steadfast advocate, supporter and champion of professionalism not just in his role at DAV but within the entire nonprofit direct marketing community.
The recipient of the 2011 Max Hart Nonprofit Achievement Award will be the toast of a gala awards lunch on February 18th in the midst of the excitement of the 2011 Washington Nonprofit Conference.
The award recognizes career accomplishments by an exceptional fundraising professional with a track record of service, leadership, innovation and integrity. As such, the 2011 recipient of the award will exemplify the following:
- Served as a professional fundraising practitioner in either nonprofit organizations or service providers
- Career has been characterized by innovation and leadership within the direct marketing community
- Has an outstanding record of achievement within the direct marketing industry
- Served as a source of inspiration and encouragement to others by exemplifying the highest standards of excellence and integrity in his/her work
- Respected authority in direct marketing fundraising practice and issues
- Committed to the professional development of others through shared knowledge and mentorship
The 2011 Max Hart Nonprofit Achievement Award recipient will join the illustrious group of former honorees, namely: Kory Christianson, Mal Warwick, Kelly Browning, Larry May, Christopher Cleghorn, Raymond Grace, Morris Dees, Roger Courts, Roger Craver and William Begley.
Think about who you know who deserves this recognition and submit his or her name for consideration by November 6, 2010. All nominations will be reviewed by the Federation’s Awards Committee and a recommendation will be made to the DMANF Advisory Council for final approval.
