DMW Direct Announces Internal Promotions, New Hires
Press Release (June 1, 2011) — DMW Direct, a leading direct response advertising agency that specializes in marketing to the diverse and growing 50+ demographic, today announced three internal promotions and two new hires:
• Elaine Sellers: Formerly the Administrative Assistant to Creative Services, Elaine has been promoted to Creative Services Administrator. In her new position, she will work with DMW Direct’s Creative Management team to improve operations and processes department-wide, while allowing the entire team to benefit from her broad administrative expertise.
“Elaine has been a reliable, resourceful and steadfast member of the Creative Department,” said Bill Spink, EVP and Chief Creative Officer at DMW. “In her nearly three years at DMW, she’s been a wonderful addition to the team, always demonstrating a ‘can-do’ attitude and actively looking for tasks and processes she can improve.”
• Michael Wermuth: Michael has joined DMW Direct as Senior Media Planner/Buyer, with a specific responsibility for direct mail and print efforts. He served most recently as Marketing Data Strategist with AEGON and prior to that, consulted with International Business Units on procuring data and negotiating contracts.
“I’m delighted to announce this new addition,” said Len Zappolo, Executive Director of Media Services at DMW. “Michael brings over 13 years of service in highly specialized facets of direct media, from strategy to legal/compliance with FCRA and DNC regulations and contracts. He will invariably be the ‘secret weapon’ here with the DMW Direct Media team as we ramp up our diverse engagements this year.”
Michael is a graduate of LaSalle University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing Management.
• Tara DiFrancesco: Serving as a Senior Account Executive since April 2009, Tara has been promoted to Account Manager, where she will lead DMW’s AARP Services, Inc. and Chartis accounts while continuing to support the Delta Dental account.
“In the three years that Tara has been with DMW Direct, she has been a shooting star,” said Renee Mezzanotte, EVP, Client Services at DMW. “Tara has deftly handled numerous and various clients – bringing to each one her extraordinary enthusiasm, initiative and get-it-done spirit. Her capacity to expertly juggle all of this and be the go-to person for our own internal projects has made her an invaluable member of our team.”
Tara is a graduate of the University of Vermont, with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Marketing.
• Megan Howe: Promoted to Account Manager, Megan formerly served as a Senior Account Executive at DMW Direct, where she was responsible for bringing the BCBS Alabama campaign onboard and managing campaigns such as Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield.
“In her almost five years with the agency, Megan has played a critical role with many key accounts,” said Kortney Cruz, Account Director at DMW. “She has been heavily involved in the ups and downs of Medicare and health insurance from the start, and her handling of the multifaceted IBC account has been exemplary, bringing praise from both clients and DMW staff.”
Megan is a graduate of St. Joseph’s University with a bachelor’s degree in Business and a concentration in Food Marketing.
• Jennifer Connors: Jennifer has joined DMW Direct as an Account Executive. Serving most recently as a Senior Project Manager at Movitas – a leading mobile marketing and e-commerce platform – Jen’s background includes planning and execution of online and offline marketing programs, project management and back-end results analysis.

Jen is a graduate of Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications.
