Doctors Without Borders Introduces Affinity Debit Card

Affinity and co-branded debit card provider Tempo announced that Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières is offering supporters an affinity debit card powered by Tempo.

Each time the Doctors Without Borders Debit MasterCard is used to make a purchase, the organization will receive a portion of standard card transaction fees to help Doctors Without Borders in its cause to provide urgent medical care to millions of people around the world. The cards can be used anywhere Debit MasterCard cards are accepted and provides cash-back and ATM withdrawal access.

“We are excited to launch a program through which people can support Doctors Without Borders with their everyday purchases,” said Jennifer Tierney, director of development for Doctors Without Borders-USA. “Contributions like this enable us to provide assistance to people caught in conflict, such as in war-torn Democratic Republic of Congo, and areas hit by natural disasters, including Haiti where Doctors Without Borders has treated close to 100,000 patients since the earthquake of January 12th and is running over 20 medical facilities in and outside the capital, Port-au-Prince.”
