As I sit here teary-eyed, I realize the reason why this holiday resonates so deeply with me is because it’s a reminder to myself of the gift I’ve been given: a beautiful life, sculpted and guaranteed by two of the most wonderful people to ever walk this earth, who have sacrificed more than I can ever know—or imagine.
