On April 10, FundRaising Success is hosting its second annual Engage Conference. Engage is the only case-study-focused fundraising conference focusing on the keys to success from organizations that have successfully made the leap from just-getting-by nonprofits to powerhouse organizations. Leading up to Engage, we will be highlighting content from the participating organizations and speakers that we've published over the years.
Each year, FundRaising Success holds the annual Gold Awards for Fundraising Excellence. The awards honor some the best fundraising campaigns of the past year, and in 2012 awards, the Coast Guard Foundation took home a silver in the direct-mail category for its "When Disaster Strikes Regional Campaign."
Working with agency partner LW Robbins, the direct-mail campaign raised nearly $40,000 with a 7.74 percent response rate, $70.79 average gift and a cost of less than a quarter to raise a dollar.
The Coast Guard Foundation is one of the featured case studies at the second annual Engage Conference in Philadelphia April 10.
