On April 10, FundRaising Success is hosting its second annual Engage Conference. Engage is the only case-study-focused fundraising conference focusing on the keys to success from organizations that have successfully made the leap from just-getting-by nonprofits to powerhouse organizations. Leading up to Engage, we will be highlighting content from the participating organizations and speakers that we've published over the years.
In 2012, the Coast Guard Foundation executed two extremely successful fundraising campaigns. The first, an emergency appeal in response to a Coast Guard helicopter crash, was a sensitive and sad campaign to embark, but the CGF donors really stepped up to the plate because the organization struck the right match between message and need.
Later in the year, CGF struck another match, finding a matching donor to enhance its annual Fallen Heroes fundraising campaign. Read about both campaigns in our December 2013 cover story, "Strike a Match."
