Engage Conference Spotlight: Something to Smile About

On May 9, FundRaising Success is hosting its first-ever face-to-face event: the Engage Conference. Engage is the only case-study-focused fundraising conference focusing on the keys to success from organizations that have successfully made the leap from just-getting-by nonprofits to powerhouse organizations. Operation Smile's mission is no mystery, healing children's smiles by fixing cleft lips and cleft palates all over the world. It is an organization that truly gives people "Something to Smile About," which then-FS Associate Editor Melissa Busch detailed in our October 2008 cover story.

Operation Smile's Kyla Shawyer — who is presenting Operation Smile's story and steps to becoming a fundraising pillar with Russ Reid CEO and FS Editorial Advisory Board member Tom Harrison at Engage — and her colleagues described the organization's holistic, integrated approach to fundraising.
