Winners were chosen from among more than 75 nominations submitted by their peers and colleagues in the nonprofit world. Judges included FS Editorial Advisory Board members Jeff Jowdy, president of Lighthouse Counsel; Pamela Barden, president of PJ Barden Inc.; and Duke Haddad, senior director of philanthropy at the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
“This awards program is such a joy to run every year,” said FS Editor-in-Chief Margaret Battistelli Gardner, who also was a judge. “Even though we have been doing it since 2006, it’s always inspiring to read the nominations each year and be reminded of the good work being done by so many passionate, dedicated and truly caring people.”
