(On May 19, FundRaising Success will host its second annual virtual conference and expo: Engaging, Enlightening, Empowering Donors. Did we mention it's FREE? Each week until then, we'll be publishing bios of our featured speakers.)
LIVE AUDIOCHAT: Going Over Board
2 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Moderator: Dane Grams
In addition to being a member of the FundRaising Success Editorial Advisory Board and a multiyear judge in our annual Gold Awards for Fundraising Excellence, Dane is the senior director of development at GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network. GLSEN envisions a world in which every child learns to accept and respect all people, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.
Previously, Dane worked for the Human Rights Campaign for nearly 12 years where he served as the online strategy director and director of annual giving among many other roles. He also has been fortunate enough to work with many other amazing nonprofits including Greenpeace, GLAAD, Witness for Peace and the Alliance for Justice.
Dane is a seasoned online communications and fundraising professional with 15 years of directly related hands-on experience. He has directed strategic planning and implementation of innovative, integrated and award-winning direct-marketing and online campaigns that have helped organizations establish identities, build strong brands, and inspire tens of thousands of individuals to support meaningful causes with both their voices and their dollars.
In this live audio-only session, Dane will chat with actual board members from various nonprofit organizations to find out firsthand what it takes to create a committed, engaged board that is passionate about fundraising.
