This is a very crucial time for the nonprofit sector. We’re in the middle of the most important three months of the year; not that the rest of the year is not just as important, but that a big chunk of giving happens in the last three months of the year—October through December.
In fact, it’s been reported that 50 percent of nonprofits receive a majority of their annual donations at year’s end, so it’s no surprise that many nonprofits are already gearing up and kicking off fundraising initiatives to engage their supporters. Events can be a huge revenue stream for nonprofits during this time of the year, which is why we have some exciting news.
Give Lively recently announced its Event Ticketing product, which has been specially designed for nonprofits... and it’s completely cost-free. The new product is able integrate with Give Lively’s suite of fundraising technology—Fundraising Pages, Text-to-Donate and Peer-to-Peer—the company announced in a press release.
“Events are a major part of nonprofits fundraising strategy. But, unfortunately, a lot of technology on the market that facilitates online ticketing is prohibitively expensive or not designed for nonprofit use. Our nonprofit members inspired us to offer a platform that’s built specifically for charitable organizations and the events they host, and that they don’t have to sacrifice event revenue to use,” David DeParolesa, Give Lively CEO, said.
According to the release, the Event Ticketing product allows nonprofits to sell tickets to any event; collect RSVPs, sponsorships and registrations; and create user-friendly event pages with custom ticketing and sponsorship tiers, as well as imagery and video. The product can also link the event page to a larger fundraising campaign, set a tax-deductible amount for each ticket price and design custom ticket levels.
