Grizzard Hires Group Vice President & Senior Strategist
PRESS RELEASE (May 11, 2011) — Grizzard Communications Group announced today that it has hired Karen E. Gleason as group vice president and senior strategist. Gleason will be responsible for leadership on national accounts and developing strategies for multichannel fundraising for a variety of clients.

Gleason has more than 18 years of nonprofit health care and agency experience. Gleason led direct response at the American Cancer Society (ACS), where she and her team raised more than $100 million annually. Gleason was instrumental in successfully developing and launching the Society's e-mail fundraising efforts. She also played a leadership role in managing enterprise wide e-communications ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and goals. Most recently, Gleason held the role of principal/consultant for Blackbaud, providing thought leadership and CRM expertise for the faith-based vertical. Previously, Gleason served at Grizzard from 1995 to 2000 working with the American Red Cross account team and some of Grizzard’s commercial accounts.
In addition, she serves on the Direct Marketing Association Advisory Council Nonprofit Board and sat on the Nonprofit Alliance Board from 2005 to 2010. Gleason graduated from Furman University with a Bachelor of Arts.
