Holiday Challenge to Give $500K in Grants to Charities
CrowdRise, a crowdfunding platform dedicated to charitable giving, has partnered up with Newman’s Own Foundation for its sixth annual holiday giving campaign. This year, the campaign will give away $500,000 in funding to participating charities, the company said in a press release.
This year’s holiday challenge will launch on Nov. 21.
In addition, CrowdRise is offering new optimized features to improve social fundraising campaigns, which include:
- Donation pages to convert more support
- Social flows to increase shares and reach new donors
- Page branding to allow nonprofits to better tell their story
- Peer-to-peer fundraising to help charities raise more
"We're so pleased to continue our annual holiday challenge with the Newman's Own Foundation this year. The holiday challenge is one way for nonprofits to set themselves up for fundraising success this holiday season. As a result of CrowdRise joining GoFundMe earlier this year, we’re excited to offer a new suite of best-in-class fundraising tools. By participating in the free challenge, nonprofits have the opportunity to engage donors via social fundraising and take advantage of the opportunity to win $500,000 in prize money from Newman's Own Foundation. Our goal is to make #GivingTuesday and the holiday season a success for all participating charities." — Gary Wohlfeill, Director of Brand & Marketing, CrowdRise
