Press release (Oct. 14, 2011) — Known for his heroic character in three Transformers blockbusters, actor Josh Duhamel will be honored for his real-life heroism as a children’s advocate when he accepts the “Ribbon of Dreams” award during the 18th annual Dream Halloween® Los Angeles. Also receiving this year’s award will be philanthropist Jake Kloberdanz, Founder/CEO of the ONEHOPE Foundation and ONEHOPE Wine.
Duhamel will be one of many celebrities at Dream Halloween Los Angeles, joining Host Jamie Lee Curtis and Honorary Vice Chair Doris Roberts. The event, presented by Children Affected by AIDS Foundation and Keep a Child Alive, will take place at Santa Monica’s Barker Hanger on October 29, from 5:00-8:30 p.m.
The most anticipated family Halloween event of the year, Dream Halloween is a trick-or-treater’s delight featuring beloved celebrities, live musical performances, appearances by children’s favorite characters, ghosts & goblins, games, arts & crafts, food from local restaurants, and a new Teen Tent area with DJs, a ghoulish mocktail bar and more! Families — celebrities, too! — are encouraged to come in costume. The evening raises much-needed funds for children infected with HIV or affected by AIDS.
Mattel Inc. and Toys “R” Us, Inc. are presenting sponsors for this year’s Dream Halloween Los Angeles. Other sponsors include American Airlines, Besser Design Group, Latham & Watkins, LLP, and Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, among many other corporations and individuals.
Tickets for Dream Halloween Los Angeles are $300.00 for adults and $250.00 for children 13 years and under. Tickets can be purchased online at www.dreamhalloween.org or by contacting Lauran Huff at Levy, Pazanti & Associates by phone (310.201.5033) or e-mail (Lauran@LPAevents.com).
