Just Say No to Silos

* Be respectful. Trust the instincts that led you to the vendors you selected in the first place and allow them to do what they do best. Don't micro-manage; don't tolerate gossip between vendors; don't create "drama"; and don't assume you know it all.

* Be available. Allow vendors to talk to you, let off steam, offer suggestions on how to improve the process, and become part of your mission and your team.
