Kimberly Zimmer, chief marketing officer and senior VP of global affairs of Goodwill Industries International, has been named president and CEO of Helen Keller Services, according to a press release. Zimmer succeeds Joseph Bruno who will continue as consultant at the organization
“I am honored to serve Helen Keller Services as president and CEO. The organization began 125 years ago when vocational training for the blind was still in its infancy. Today, through its two divisions, Helen Keller Services provides comprehensive services to individuals of all ages who are blind, visually impaired, deaf-blind or have combined hearing and vision loss," Zimmer said. "My career has been devoted to human service organizations that make a meaningful difference, and I look forward to carrying on that tradition at Helen Keller Services.”
Zimmer brings over 15 years of leadership experience in the social enterprise and nonprofit sectors. In her role, she will work to improve organizational effectiveness and grow stakeholder awareness.
