Tanzania has a population of 42 million with more than half living in abject poverty. There is a significant demand for microfinance services, with less than 10 percent of the population having access to savings accounts. Liesel will lead a trip for YAO members and other young professionals on Sept. 5-12, 2009 to visit Opportunity's operations and clients in Tanzania and Rwanda.
