MetLife Foundation Announces Grants to Five Local Food Banks
NEW YORK, Feb. 10 — MetLife Foundation today announced grants to five food banks. The grants, which total $250,000, will help the food banks respond to growing needs in their communities.
MetLife Foundation is committed to building healthy communities and recognizes the critical role food banks play in meeting the needs of communities most vulnerable residents, especially children, said Dennis White of MetLife Foundation. We are pleased to support these five food banks, whose work is more vital now than ever.
The food banks receiving MetLife Foundation grants are:
-- Americas Second Harvest of Tampa Bay (Tampa, FL)
-- Community FoodBank of New Jersey (Hillside, NJ)
-- Food Bank for New York City (New York, NY)
-- Foodshare, Inc. (Bloomfield, CT)
-- Rhode Island Community Food Bank (Providence, RI)
