According to Clam Lorenz, a spokesman for MissionFish, 2,100 organizations already have registered — for free, mind you — to receive proceeds from eBay Giving Works auctions.

“This is a new way for people who know nothing about your organization, but who might have an affinity for it, to get engaged,” Lorenz says. “There are 100 million people on eBay; it’s certain you’re going to find new supporters. It’s also another opportunity for your existing donors to get engaged.”
