Press release (Aug. 24, 2011) — ART FOR JOPLIN: Show Me Art; Show Me Hope, a fundraising campaign created by Moosylvania, the digital, branding, promotion and experiential agency, has raised $15,000 to benefit small businesses impacted by the May 21, 2011 tornado in Joplin, Missouri.
Brook Boyer, a Moosylvania copywriter, whose family has ties to Joplin, enlisted Moosylvania's entire creative department to develop a series of 16 unique and inspirational posters to raise money for the United Way Small Business Fund of Joplin. The posters garnered rave reviews and were featured on CNN, Huffington Post, Communication Arts, and local St Louis TV stations and publications.
Supporters across the country and around the world bought 628 of the hand-printed posters.
"It is our hope people continue to help Joplin and support the United Way's efforts there, said Boyer. "As the message on one of the posters aptly stated, 'We are Neighbors no Matter the Distance.'"
Joplin still needs recovery assistance. Any contribution to United Way Small Business Fund of Joplin - big or small - can make a real difference. For more information, go to http://www.uwswmo.org.
