April 15, 2009, The Boston Globe — The two nonprofits always had a lot in common. Dorchester CARES Coalition for Families and Children and the Family Nurturing Center of Massachusetts were founded five years apart by the same woman and set off on similar missions - family development. They collaborated on projects, and even shared space in a Bowdoin Street building.
