Mr. & Ms. Military Organization Announces Annual Pageant

The Mr. & Ms. Military Organization (MMMO) is excited to announce the upcoming 2024 Mr. & Ms. Military Pageant, an event dedicated to honoring the achievements of U.S. service members and their contributions to nonprofit organizations. This annual pageant will feature nonprofit organizations and a military veteran, male or female of their choice to shine a spotlight on veterans and active-duty military personnel who are engaged in community service and are making a positive impact on society.

Founder of the Mr. & Ms. Military Organization, Calvin Hill, expressed his motivation behind creating this unique pageant, stating, "Most times, our service members are honored and recognized on a military base outside of public view. I wanted to change that by giving veterans and active-duty service members the spotlight, showcasing their talents, and acknowledging their exceptional contributions to their chosen nonprofits."

The 2024 Mr. & Ms. Military Pageant will feature male and female contestants from various branches of the U.S. military. Participants will be judged in four categories, including their creativity in raising awareness for their nonprofit (extra points will be awarded for media interviews), an on-stage performance showcasing their talents (such as singing, dancing, poetry, instruments, comedy, etc.), formal attire, and military knowledge. The pageant will be judged by a live in-person audience and viewers watching online, who will collectively determine the winners.

The pageant also extends an invitation to nonprofit organizations to participate by submitting their nominees for the pageant. Each contestant will proudly wear a sash or stole representing their nonprofit, providing these organizations with additional exposure and the opportunity to raise more funds to support their causes. In 2022 several participating nonprofit organizations reported raising thousands of dollars due to exposure and awareness generated by the pageant.

Founder Calvin Hill emphasizes, "The Mr. & Ms. Military Pageant is not intended to be a traditional pageant; we are taking pageantry to the next level and inviting nonprofits and veterans to help us make this possible by showcasing and celebrating their invaluable contributions."
