New Nonprofit Aims to be the YouTube for Global Giving

SANTA CRUZ, August 26, 2009 — A new Internet-based nonprofit that offers video portals into some of the world's poorest communities aims to make educated philanthropy as easy as a click.

World Flix, launched this month by Laika Grant Mann with the help of a host of dedicated volunteers, mentors, consultants and college interns, is the latest site that uses the Internet to link donors with people in need.
