Other Toolbar options enable the user to highlight a term on any Web page, zoom in and out, check weather in popular destinations, and consult a dictionary.
More importantly, the nonprofit can use the Toolbar to send urgent organizational and fundraising messages in real time.
“We hope people see this as an opportunity to do good all day long without paying for it,” says General Manager Thorsten Hoins, who roughly calculates that individual users’ Web searching will result in $1 of shared, gross revenue per month. “For nonprofits, if you have 100,000 Toolbar users, that would be $50,000 in predictable income each month.”
