New York Life Celebrates 170th Anniversary With $170,000 in Grants to 10 Charities
New York Life celebrated its 170th anniversary on April 12. In honor of the milestone, more than 5,300 employees and agents across the country voted for their 10 favorite charities out of a list of 35. Each organization in the top 10 will receive a $17,000 grant from the New York Life Foundation, for a total of $170,000.
"Celebrating the company's anniversary by giving back speaks to who we are as a company. I applaud all of the New York Life employees and agents who participated in this event," said Heather Nesle, president of the New York Life Foundation. "The impressive level of participation is a testament to the longstanding commitment our employees and agents have to making a difference in the communities where we live and work."
The selected charities, in order of finish, are:
- American Cancer Society
- St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
- American Heart Association
- Make-A-Wish America
- Habitat for Humanity
- American National Red Cross
- Autism Society
- Feeding America
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of America
- Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
