Everyone in the nonprofit sector plays a role in creating a positive impact on the world around them. Whether they’re on the executive team, serving on the board, just starting their career, or volunteering their time, they all push the needle in helping your organization achieve its goals.
While these team players don’t expect any thanks in return for their hard work, we at NonProfit PRO like to recognize the changemakers who have dedicated so much time and effort to making the world a better place.
Once again, NonProfit PRO is proud to honor those who work tirelessly to support a nonprofit’s work through our annual Nonprofit Professional of the Year Awards.
You can nominate a nonprofit professional in five different categories. In 400-700 words, make sure to specify what your nominee accomplished over the past year (or over decades for the Lifetime Achievement Award) and how it impacted your organization so NonProfit PRO understands why they’re worthy of the award.
Submit your nomination for the 2024 Nonprofit Professional of the Year Awards here!
Nonprofit Professional of the Year. Typically, this person is a leader or senior member of an organization who took the nonprofit to new heights this year. However, they could be anyone in your organization. Their leadership was key to the nonprofit’s recent success.
Fundraiser of the Year. We’re not necessarily looking for who raised the most money. Tell us about the fundraiser who made the biggest impact for your nonprofit this year.
Unsung Hero. Everyone at your nonprofit could fit into this category, but we want to know who has done so much for the organization with little to no recognition. A board member? A marketer? Someone else who does it all? Let’s change that and acknowledge their important contributions.
Rising Star. There’s no age limit or title requirement for this award, but we want to hear about an up-and-comer in your organization this year. It could be someone new to the sector or new to nonprofit management — or anywhere in between.
Lifetime Achievement. Unlike the other categories, highlight the nominee’s decades-long devotion to nonprofit causes and all of their accomplishments along the way. We want to review their commitment to the nonprofit sector and be amazed.
Nominations must be submitted by Oct. 2, 2024. A panel of judges at NonProfit PRO will select the most inspiring nominations. Honorees will be featured on our website and in our e-newsletter in December.
