Nonprofit Friendship Circle in Race to Win Big Bucks via Facebook

Jan. 20, 2010, West Bloomfield Township, Mich., The Detroit News — Friendship Circle has only a few days to widen its Internet social network to grab a seven-figure gift that could boost services for special-needs children throughout Metro Detroit.

The nonprofit is one of only five statewide — out of hundreds of thousands of charities nationwide who participated — that have vaulted into the top tier of the race, making them eligible for a $1 million grant from the Chase brand.
