Nonprofits Get a Chance to Get Noticed
Think your public relations campaigns knocked ’em dead this year? Here’s your chance to get your efforts recognized.
PR News is honoring the best communicators and teams in the nonprofit sector with its annual NonProfit Awards Program, and the deadline for entering is fast approaching.
Entities including colleges and universities, associations, government organizations, public-relations firms representing nonprofits, and corporate teams partnering with nonprofits are eligible to enter, according to the PR News Web site.
The PR campaign or initiative had to have occurred between Sept. 1, 2007, and Sept. 1, 2008, in order to be eligible for the contest. The campaign can be on-going and doesn’t have to have been completed during the eligibility period. All entries must be postmarked by Sept. 26.
PR News is looking for the “most innovative” and “highly creative” initiatives, according to the Web site. Organizations and teams can enter to win in more than 20 categories including Fundraising and/or Membership Campaign, Blog, PR Event and Podcast.
The awards will be judged by a panel of communications experts, and organization size and campaign budget will be judged relative to campaign goals and returns.
Winners will be recognized at an awards event on Dec. 4 in Washington D.C., in PR News and on prnewsonline.com.
