Nonprofits Turn to Blackbaud NetCommunity Grow to Launch Interactive Websites Backed by Industry-Leading Support and Strategy Services
Charleston, S.C., June 11, 2009 — Blackbaud, Inc. (Nasdaq: BLKB), announced today that an increasing number of nonprofits are selecting its new website management offering, Blackbaud NetCommunity Grow™. A Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution, Blackbaud NetCommunity Grow was developed to make it easier for nonprofits to quickly build interactive websites that are integrated with their constituent relationship management (CRM) solutions and backed by strategy services to help them be successful. Additionally, as a fully-hosted solution available on a subscription basis, Blackbaud NetCommunity Grow is ideal for nonprofits that need flexible payment and deployment options.
“We developed Blackbaud NetCommunity Grow as an affordable, prescriptive solution to help nonprofits that may not have the resources or expertise to build a highly-interactive website,” said Steve MacLaughlin, Blackbaud’s director of Internet solutions. “When nonprofits choose this solution, they are getting more than technology, they’re getting award-winning support and strategy services based on best practices for nonprofits, and campaign planning to help them acquire, cultivate and retain online donors.”
According to a recent study by Target Analytics, the online giving channel must be an integrated part of an entire marketing program because although offline donors do not generally migrate to online giving, online donors do migrate to offline channels in large numbers. In addition, online donors tend to downgrade when they move offline, further evidence that online donors are not cultivated to their full potential.
Genesis Women's Shelter recently went live with its new website at www.genesisshelter.org to educate the community about domestic violence and provide resources for receiving and providing assistance.
“It took us just over a month to design, build, and launch our site on Blackbaud NetCommunity Grow,” said Lara Gaither, the Dallas-based Shelter’s Outreach Director. “We now have a fully-interactive website where visitors can become online members, easily make donations, volunteer and learn about news and events based on their individual interests.
“The response has been phenomenal— we have seen an increase in donations and website traffic, and have seen people connecting with Genesis in new ways. Blackbaud has been a very responsive partner and has provided insight and support to help us better communicate our mission of alleviating family violence through volunteerism, education and community awareness.”
Additional nonprofits that recently selected Blackbaud NetCommunity Grow include: Connecticut Children's Medical Center, First Place for Youth, Sound Mental Health, and SPCA Tampa Bay.
