Panda Express Helps Ease Local Budget Crisis
ROSEMEAD, Calif., March 26, 2009 — Panda Express launches a Community Fundraising program in support of schools and local organizations affected by the budget crisis. Organizations in need of fundraising opportunities are encouraged to contact their local Panda Express restaurant to sign up for a fundraising event where 20 percent of sales during the event will be donated back to the organization. Over $350,000 is expected to be raised during the 12-week program.
“Schools and community organizations face tremendous challenges today,” said Tom Davin, President and CEO of Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., the parent company for Panda Express. “We’re taking action to support the teachers, children and parents of our communities.”
From now until mid June 2009, all 1250 Panda Express, Hibachi-San and Panda Inn locations across the United States will participate in this program.

Schools and community organizations may book a fundraising event by contacting their local Panda Express Restaurant or going to www.pandaexpress.com to get started. The organization will invite all their guests to attend and purchase meals during the scheduled time. 20 percent of the sales from the event will be donated back to the organization. It’s that simple!
