“I’ve been a supporter of Madison Square Boys & Girls Club for years,” Javits said. “The whole reason I went into fashion is because I was inspired, and the staff of Madison Square inspires New York City kids to dream, strive and succeed. Their work for children in disadvantaged neighborhoods gives young people the chance to become the teachers, businesspeople, engineers, editors and fashion designers of tomorrow.”
