The 2025 CCS Philanthropy Pulse report provides nonprofit leaders with key insights into the evolving fundraising landscape, drawing from the experiences of nearly 650 organizations across 34 countries and 46 U.S. states. Based on survey data collected between October 22 and November 27, 2024, this fourth edition highlights sector-wide trends, fundraising expectations, and the growing role of technology in donor engagement.
This year’s report explores how nonprofits are responding to shifting donor behaviors, embracing new opportunities, and advancing their mission-driven goals. It examines key strategies for development success, the evolving skill sets needed for fundraising professionals, and efforts to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion within fundraising programs.
Key findings include:
- 62% of organizations saw revenue growth in 2024, indicating sustained optimism for 2025.
- 53% of organizations reported growth in donor acquisition, although fewer are acquiring new donors consistently year-over-year.
- 31% of organizations leveraging AI report improved donor engagement and targeted fundraising.
- 54% of organizations expect growth in major and mid-level gifts in 2025
- 57% of organizations are prioritizing expanding revenue streams to stay future-ready.
