Press release (Jan. 4, 2012) — The Resource Alliance has launched its two flagship events for 2012. Bookings are already open for Fundraising Online, the 100 percent online digital fundraising conference scheduled for May 15-16, and the 2012 IFC (International Fundraising Congress), which will take place in The Netherlands Oct. 16-19. The theme of the 2012 IFC is focused on "strengthening current and future fundraising leaders through providing access to the best thinking and new perspectives from outside the fundraising sector." Over 60 countries were represented at the 2011 IFC, with record attendance numbers.
Information about both of these major events is available on the Resource Alliance’s new website, launched in December. The new site has been designed for quick and minimal "click" access to information about the organisation’s work as a global network for building fundraising capacity and inspiring philanthropy worldwide.
The site has a new resources section through which visitors can access free content and research on fundraising throughout the world, sign up to the newly launched free Resource Alliance newsletter, access useful video content and sign up to social media groups to help them stay up to date and connected with fundraisers around the world.
The new website is the hub for all of the Resource Alliance’s activities across the globe. Says chief executive Neelam Makhijani: “The website has been a key priority and a vital investment for us in 2011/12, in terms of raising our profile and delivering information in a way that inspires interest and action.
"We are a global organisation and, as such, our website is absolutely vital in communicating our work and reflecting the role we play in driving innovation in philanthropy. At the start of another busy year and with the launch of our two flagship events we are delighted to have the new site and we will be monitoring its success closely.”
