When people come in the door, greet them like you haven't seen them in years and you are so glad they are here. Your energy is contagious! Isn't it? I read recently that the most important thing that impacts the success of a party is the attitude of the host. Consider that!

6. Music. Turn the music up at the beginning of the party so it will feel like something's going on. Then turn it down later on so people can talk.
