Pia Payne, associate publisher and brand manager of NonProfit PRO, and Donna Wilkins, founder and CEO of Charity Dynamics, have been tapped to submit a panel for the 2017 SXSW Conference’s social impact track in Austin, Texas.
Their session, “Feeling Good About Fearless Fundraising,” will explore how nonprofits can throw off the chains of fear and organizational restraint, and tap into the creativity they possess for fundraising success.
But they need your help to get there.
Among other criteria, they need more than 100 votes by midnight tonight to be selected.
It’s a very competitive process to get selected to present. There were 3,000 panels submitted this year and only about 300 will be accepted.
Please take five minutes to register, and vote to help them help nonprofits. It’s quick and easy:
- Register to vote. (After this, the hardest step is behind you.)
- Once you’ve registered, cast your vote (with a thumbs-up) for “Feeling Good About Fearless Fundraising.”
- If you have time, leave a comment at the bottom of the page. Positive comments really do make a difference to the judges.
Branching off the insights of these two industry leaders’ exposure to fundraising issues across the spectrum, the presentation will focus on ways nonprofits can get past doing the same things year after year, get over the “that won’t work here” objections, and find success when their employees’ unleash their creativity to break free of the chains holding them back.
To learn more about the presentation, join the Facebook group to talk about fearless fundraising and keep in touch with Payne and Wilkins as they finalize the content.
If your vote helps get their presentation selected, Payne and Wilkins already have promised drinks are on them in Austin.
