What's New in the Advisor
You might notice that we're doing a few things a little differently starting with today's edition of the FS Advisor. Nothing drastic … just minor tweaks that should provide more useful information for our Advisor subscribers. (What's that you say? You're not a subscriber and you just happen to be reading this because someone shared it with you? Easy enough to fix, just click here.)
The Advisor will continue to feature three articles each week, but we've added a new section called Industry Insider, which will announce various "newsy" items from around the fundraising sector: new products, services, partnerships, initiatives, etc. — things you wouldn't normally find elsewhere in FS-branded editorial products, which as you know focus exclusively on strategy and practical, actionable tips for fundraisers.
Send your press releases and other announcements for inclusion in the new Industry Insider section to mbattistelli@napco.com, and include "Industry Insider" in the subject line.
One other small change is that we've done away with Sound Off. The fact that we got very few responses to our weekly question continues to stump me, since I've never met a fundraiser who is shy about sharing his or her opinions!
We're keeping our weekly quote but are now calling it "And We Quote … " It's a subtle change but just a little kickier, don't you think? And we still haven't given up on providing a forum for our readers here in the Advisor. For And We Quote, we'll cull useful and/or provocative tidbits from around the sector's various blogs, from conference sessions, from other publications, from impromptu luncheon conversations, etc. But we'd also like to hear from you on any fundraising topic you'd like to talk about.
Feel free to send your short fundraising-related comments, observations, witticisms, profundities, rants, etc., to mbattistelli@napco.com, and please put "And We Quote" in the subject line.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Peace & blessings …
Margaret Battistelli, Editor-in-Chief
