Who Are Your Fundraising Heroes?
We know your to-do list is huge this time of year. But there's a deadline looming that you really will kick yourself for missing!
You have until Jan. 7 to submit a nomination to the 2011 FundRaising Success Fundraising Professionals of the Year Awards. And if that date comes and goes without you submitting a colleague for consideration, you no doubt will wish you had.
So why not do it now and get it out of the way before the holiday crush? There's no fee to nominate someone, and the application process couldn't be easier. Simply send an e-mail to me at mbattistelli@napco.com, with the subject line "FOTY Nomination."
In it, please include your name and contact information; the nominee's name, title, organization, phone number and e-mail address; along with a detailed explanation of why you're making the nomination (500 to 1,000 words, please). If possible, a digital headshot of the nominee would be great. Also, let us know into which of these categories you're entering the nominee:
- Lifetime Achievement — Based on a body of work over the course of 30+ years.
- Fundraising Professional of the Year — Based on a specific fundraising achievement in 2010.
- Fundraising Stars — Based on a body of work, a compelling project or special circumstance, an overall attitude or approach, etc.
- Rising Stars — Up-and-comers with fewer than five years in the sector.
Winners will be announced in the February 2011 issue of the magazine. Need some inspiration? Check out the 2010, 2009, 2008 and 2007 winners.
